THE 10 BASIC STEPS OF MAKEUP APPLICATION

STEP 1 – Concealer
Softens lines, hides blemishes, and undereye circles
TIP: Should be one shade lighter than foundation.
STEP 2 – Foundation
Creates the perfect base
TIP: Test a shade along jawline. Pick a shade that
blends in and looks natural. One shade for the summer and one for the winter.
STEP 3 – Powder
The ultimate makeup tool for setting and blending makeup
TIP: Use a light touch after applying foundation, before blush
STEP 4 – Blush
Accents bone structure and adds a glow to your face
TIP: The biggest mistake is to apply too much
STEP 5 – Eyeshadow
Defines and accents natural eye colour
TIP: Apply a light colour all over lid, a medium colour on lower lid up to
crease and a dark colour on crease of lid to add depth
STEP 6 – Eye Liner
Reshapes, dramatizes your eyes and gives illusion of thicker lashes
TIP: Apply with steady hand with eyes half closed while looking in the mirror
STEP 7 – Mascara
Enlarges and enhances eyes
TIP: Hold wand horizontally and sweep upwards to lengthen lashes. Hold wand
vertically and sweep tip back and forth to separate lashes.
STEP 8 – Eyebrow Pencil
Lines and defines eyebrows
TIP: Always keep eyebrows well groomed as eyebrows “frame” your face
STEP 9 – Lip Liner
Holds lip colour, defines and shapes
TIP: You need at least one lip liner for each lipstick colour family she selects
STEP 10 – Lipstick
Defines, shapes lips
TIP: Blush and lipstick colour should be in same colour family
